Arbora Homes – Braiswick

Colchester

Light filled living space with seating area, coffee table and soft neutral palette

Clayton & Company worked in collaboration with Arbora Homes to design the show home interiors at the Braiswick development in Colchester, creating a collection of aspirational yet highly liveable family homes. Inspired by the development’s natural woodland setting, our interior schemes were designed to feel calm, light and connected to the outdoors, helping potential buyers immediately imagine themselves living in the space.

A considered palette of soft tones, natural textures and layered materials runs throughout the interiors, complementing the architecture and enhancing the sense of space. Subtle greens, warm neutrals and tactile finishes reflect the surrounding landscape, while carefully selected furniture, artwork and accessories introduce character without overwhelming the rooms. The aim was to create interiors that feel welcoming, balanced and effortlessly stylish while still supporting everyday family life.

Open-plan living areas and rear-facing kitchens are styled to maximise natural light and views over the gardens, helping the spaces feel bright, relaxed and sociable. Dining areas are designed to encourage connection and entertaining, while comfortable living rooms demonstrate how the layouts can support both quiet moments and family gatherings.

Bedrooms are styled to showcase restful, layered environments, using soft textiles, tonal patterns and carefully chosen lighting to create a sense of warmth and tranquillity. Thoughtful detailing throughout the homes helps buyers visualise how each space can adapt to their lifestyle, from flexible living areas to practical storage and inviting bedroom retreats.

By combining considered design, carefully curated furniture and a harmonious material palette, the show homes demonstrate Arbora Homes’ commitment to quality, sustainability and long-term liveability, while highlighting the lifestyle potential of the Braiswick development in Colchester.
