Project: 4 bedroom Warley show home

Design Concept

Clayton & Company was commissioned by Crest Nicholson to design the four-bedroom Warley show home at Arden Oaks, Brentwood. The brief was to create an aspirational interior that reflected the expectations of today’s family buyer while remaining warm, welcoming and genuinely liveable.

Rather than simply creating a beautifully styled space, the design focused on helping prospective purchasers imagine themselves living in the home. Every room was carefully considered to demonstrate how the property could support modern family life, balancing practicality with a refined and contemporary aesthetic.

Kitchen & Dining Space

At the heart of the home is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space designed for everyday living as well as entertaining. Flexible layouts encourage connection between family members while allowing each area to serve a distinct purpose. Soft neutral tones, natural timber finishes and layered textures create a calm backdrop that feels timeless, while carefully selected accessories add warmth and personality throughout.

The surrounding Brentwood landscape provided inspiration for the colour palette, introducing gentle greens, earthy neutrals and organic materials that establish a subtle connection between the interior and its setting. This natural approach helps create a relaxed atmosphere that feels sophisticated without becoming overly formal.

Recognising that today’s homes often need to fulfil multiple roles, the design also incorporates dedicated spaces for working, studying and relaxing. A thoughtfully designed home office demonstrates how buyers can adapt the property to suit changing lifestyles, while children’s bedrooms combine creativity with practicality to inspire imagination without compromising functionality.

Attention to detail was central to the overall scheme. Bespoke joinery, layered styling and carefully curated accessories work together to create interiors that feel authentic and lived-in rather than staged. Every design decision, from the layout and lighting to the finishing touches, was made to enhance the overall experience of the home and create an emotional connection with prospective buyers.

The completed show home successfully captures the balance between aspiration and accessibility, presenting a contemporary family home that feels elegant, comfortable and achievable. It demonstrates Clayton & Company’s approach to creating interiors that not only showcase a property’s full potential but also help buyers picture themselves making it their own.
