Design Concept
Rivers Edge is an award-winning development by Wyatt Homes in Wimborne. The scheme received recognition at the UK Property Awards for both Best Residential Development and Best Architecture.
Following the success of the first show home on the development, Clayton & Company were appointed to design the interiors for Plot 112 — a beautifully proportioned five-bedroom detached home set across three floors.
Our aim was to create a show home interior that felt warm, welcoming and practical for modern family living. At the same time, we wanted the home to feel full of personality and individuality. Earthy tones, layered textures and playful pattern have been used to create a home that feels inviting, characterful and effortlessly liveable.
Kitchen & Dining Space
The open-plan kitchen and dining area forms the heart of the home, designed to encourage connection and everyday family life. Bespoke panelling introduces architectural interest while subtly zoning different areas of the space. As a result the room feels cohesive and warm without compromising the open feel of the layout.
Children’s Bedroom
Throughout the home, carefully considered styling details help tell the story of the family who might live there. One of the standout spaces is the children’s bedroom, inspired by ballet and storytelling themes, featuring playful mouse motifs and individual fabric canopies over each bed to create a sense of imagination and personality.
Craft & Hobby Room
On the top floor, one of the five bedrooms has been reimagined as a dedicated craft and hobby room, designed to feel creative, calm and inspiring. Locally sourced handmade pottery from Wimborne has been incorporated throughout the scheme, adding authenticity, craftsmanship and a connection to the local area.
The Final Result
The overall result is a thoughtfully designed family home that balances practicality with warmth and personality — helping potential buyers emotionally connect with the space while showcasing the lifestyle and quality at the heart of the Rivers Edge development.
